The Blacktown Aquatic Centre is located at Boyd Street in Blacktown NSW. It is a $15million centre situated on three acres of flat land not far from the Blacktown Railway Station.
The Centre has two Olympic sized swimming pools and a toddlers pool. One 50 metre pool is fully enclosed offering protection from the elements all year round. The outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable 26 degrees. The indoor pool and toddlers pool are slightly warmer at 28 degrees. The toddlers pool is only 25cm deep at the shallow end and 75cm at the deep end.
The centre has a fully equipped gym, a skateboard ramp, grassed areas with shade trees and a barbecue. There is a cafe which adjoins the indoor and toddlers pool, so that you can watch the kids while enjoying a cup of coffee.
